Associate Manager of Revenue Management

Location: Chicago, IL

The Associate Manager Revenue Management will be a key person in developing data-driven pricing and investment strategies across the Grocery/Walmart or Foodservice/ALT channels. Key areas will include defining channel-specific pricing strategies for new product offerings, optimizing price and promotions for existing businesses, and helping to improve organizational price setting making via robust advanced analytics. The Associate Manager will also be a key driver in evolving the companys systematic Trade Promo Effectiveness capabilities.

  • Own pricing analytics. Lead the collection of pricing data, create frameworks for pricing decisions, and identify opportunities to optimize sales

  • Apply advanced statistical and analytic techniques to large amounts of data with the goal of driving business decisions and providing the primary input in evolving the company's pricing strategies.

  • Develop detailed pricing models, elasticity analyses, and measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies and promotions.

  • Augment Trade Promo Effectiveness capabilities and conduct recurring or ad-hoc Post-Event Analytics.

  • Ensure consistent pricing strategy, structure, trade rates and price points.

  • Suggest and implement enhancements to existing pricing processes and systems.

  • Research and maintain market knowledge to be aware of cost driver fluctuations and competitive movements affecting pricing.

  • Models the impact of pricing strategy revisions by conducting what-if analysis on pricing scenarios. Shares insights and develops the pricing-related skills of the cross-functional organization.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Methods, Finance, Business, related fields, or equivalent years experience. Advanced degree preferred.

  • MBA preferred (finance, analytics, revenue management concentration).

  • 5+ years in a financial analysis, pricing analysis, or other highly analytical role.

  • CPG experience and knowledge of Nielsen / IRI data

  • Strong grasp of pricing concepts and applications (including value-based pricing), as well as overall Marketing knowledge. Strong industry knowledge (i.e. mobile vending, Foodservice, Grocery channels).

  • Strong data manipulation, modeling and data visualization skillsets using Excel, R, SQL and Tableau.

  • Able to analyze and grasp a situation quickly from different perspectives and create well-reasoned solutions Innately comfortable with complexity and ambiguity.

  • Be facilitative and open to feedback from others with the ability to influence and lead without direct authority.

  • Ability to interact professionally with a wide range of people and skillsets across all departments and functionalities within the organization.

  • Define pricing problems strategically, develop credible business cases and communicate rationale to senior management.

  • Comfortable working independently, often with ambiguity, and in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.

  • Collaborative attitude to work, influencing skills, team work, strong analytics, change management are all essential skills.

  • Ability to synthesize complex information in an easy to understand format for a variety of stakeholders.
