Senior Commercial Analyst in Westbrook, ME

 

My client is looking for a Senior Commercial Analyst to support the Water, Livestock, Poultry and Dairy organizations. 

This person will have the opportunity to interact with multiple managers and provide consistent, accurate, and quality analyses as required to support commercial teams. 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and provide routine reports for management with a focus on the development of self-service dashboards.
  • Analyze data to identify and better understand business opportunities and market situations.
  • Participate in the planning, development, and implementation of analyses to support a rapidly growing business.
  • Conduct analysis and provide business decision support and insight.
  • Work cross-functionally throughout the organization, serving as commercial financial contact for Water line of business.  
  • Identify and implement processes and improvements in planning, analysis, reporting and monitoring both financial and non-financial measures.  This includes leveraging information technology to automate, streamline, and integrate processes.
  • Provide special project support where often the team member is the primary financial contact.
  • Work with multiple systems including SAP, SAP BPC and Birst for use in information retrieval and analyses.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and modeling as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related business concentration.  Masters degree or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years applying data mining, statistical analysis and reporting in marketing and sales related quantitative studies.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge in Accounting and Financial analysis

  • Must have analytics systems experience (ie. Tableau, SAS, Lavastorm etc.)

  • Salesforce experience preferred.

  • Results oriented, self-starter with strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Detail oriented 
  • Ability to work with requestors to understand their true needs and to communicate complex analysis results to all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and trends
  • Strong expertise in data mining tools and the creation of data visualizations
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Solid MS Office skills (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)
  • SAP experience preferred
