Job Summary
Responsible for plastics molding quoting activities in support of new business development. Coordinates with cross-functional team members to develop bid strategy and obtain costing and performance metrics for quoting new opportunities. Employs plastics technical and market expertise in conjunction with strategic pricing methodologies to establish pricing that drives profitable growth.

This job requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical discipline and a minimum 5 years plastics molding experience, including 2+ years in a direct quoting role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position also requires strong business and financial acumen in addition to proficiency with computers including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, internet software, etc. The applicant must have excellent business writing skills and high mathematical skills. Finally, a person in this position needs to possess good interpersonal skills to work well with other people both internally and externally.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Manages estimation teams as assigned working closely with the multidiscipline technical groups including: Tooling, Automation, Design and Operations to gather, prepare and analyze data for customer requested quotations
· Collaborates with the Commercial Team to develop piece part quotes for plastic injection molded parts and assemblies utilizing collected costing data in conjunction with market and customer pricing data
· Responsible for on-time delivery of quotations to customer request date
· Demonstrates a strong understanding of plastics molding and assembly techniques and the ability to evaluate challenging assemblies for the most cost effective approach
· Participates in the development of manufacturing strategies most appropriate for applications being quoted
· Supports commercial team in the development of customer proposals and presentations as required
· Demonstrates a strong commitment to customer service (internal and external)
· Employs strategic pricing theory and processes to improve quote turnaround time, quote win rate and company financial performance
· Assist Director of Commercial Development in facilitating various key initiatives as assigned.
