Manager of Revenue Management in Chicago
The Manager of Revenue Management will lead the development and implementation of the joint business plans. Responsible for proactively managing, monitoring, evaluating and updating the overall business plan to meet all volume, profit and share objectives. This position is responsible for the evaluation of annual pricing strategies, incremental capital investment decisions, incremental trade funding requests, and the bid process for the Foodservice and Customer Label programs. Leads integrated post event analysis process to understand what worked and what didn’t across all customer spend buckets. Will be an advocate for data and insights driven problem solving across the sales organization.
Leads annual pricing strategy changes based on market conditions ie commodity markets or competitive activity. Responsible for the determination, implementation, and communication to the sales force of any pricing strategy changes.
Leads the evaluation of capital investment spending decisions related to retail equipment (ice cream bunkers) payback and return on investment.
Responsible for the evaluation of all incremental funding requests from field sales. Working with inputs from the Trade Development Manager this position determines if a request for incremental funding is appropriate and within budgeted rates or funds.
Primary evaluator of annual investment plans for the retail channel. Ensuring appropriate retail pricing and investment strategies to drive sustainable long term growth. This would also include evaluating new item placement expenses
Responsible for the Foodservice and Alternative channel incremental bid process utilizing P&L and internal costing data; develops and implements proposals to win new business that is both incremental and accretive to company margin goals.
Provides effective leadership for team members responsible for pricing and margin improvement as well as data integration and development.
Maintains and improves a multi-source data integration platform with cross functional support from IT and Finance
Effectively partners cross functionally with Finance, Supply Chain/Operations, Category Management and IT.
Qualifications
EDUCATION List the minimum education required to be qualified for the position, including certifications or licenses.
Bachelors Degree in Business or related field required (ex. Finance), MBA preferred.
EXPERIENCE List experience preferred to be qualified for the position
5 years minimum experience in sales with a major CPG company; category management experience a plus, key account management experience a plus.
KNOWLEDGE
Experience using syndicated data sources (Nielsen, IRI, NPD, Interflex)
Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization software
Expertise with data analysis languages primarily R and SQl
Has working knowledge of regression modeling and statistical evaluation methods
SKILLS
