Manager of Pricing Strategy in San Francisco

Job description:

  • Manages the short-term and long-term pricing strategy for the entire suite of the products sold into the North America Retail and Distributor channels.  Collaborating across all key functions to develop and execute the optimal pricing strategy.

    Responsibilities:

  • Development of Strategic Pricing Capabilities

  •  Provide thought leadership for improvements in automation, efficiency and standard analyses of pricing development
     Use best-in-class models, consumption data and trends, and competitive insights to assess and develop pricing   recommendations

  •  Implement process to record, track and monitor competitive intelligence and market place dynamics

  •  Develop and optimize pricing architecture throughout US Retail and NA B2B portfolios

    Stakeholder Management

  •  Establish and lead discussions with Executive Pricing Committee reporting on key trends, drivers, risks and opportunities

  • Develop and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with internal functions to ensure organizational support of pricing decisions

  • Oversee development of executive-level presentations that summarize and gain alignment on the analysis and the strategic rationale underpinning pricing decisions and expected financial impact

  • Establish and Execute Pricing Strategy

  • Accountable for the North America pricing strategies

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to understand and balance customer requirements with production and logistics constraints when developing optimal pricing strategy

  • Combine business logic, rigorous analysis, market intelligence and strategic perspective to develop pricing strategies

  • Works closely with Sales & Marketing to develop all required documents and tools supporting pricing strategy execution for the market


    Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred

  • Experience: 8+ years of relevant work experience (CPG preferred), 3+ years of experience leading strategic pricing projects

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Well-rounded business acumen with proven skills in Marketing, Brand and Finance

  • P&L Management Experience Preferred, Exposure To P&L Management Required

  • Well versed in product life cycle management and pricing strategies

  • Strategic mindset required

  • Ability to translate insights into strategy and strategy into actionable plans

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

  • Excellent analytical and project management skills

  • Proven track record of success and ability to lead and influence others

  • Proven ability to understand, analyze, and develop product and pricing strategies and effectively communicate and

  • implement recommendations
