Manager of Pricing in Short Hills, NJ

 

The Manager, Pricing Analyst role is the focal point for conducting pricing and revenue allocation activities to ensure the required, time sensitive pricing information is delivered each month for accurate auditing and financial performance reporting.  The role will act as a key partner to our Finance organization and be responsible for supporting the required monthly and quarterly financial reporting process through modeling, analyzing and reporting product pricing, discount analysis and bundled revenue allocation for all product lines.  The role will have the ability to own and improve upon complex processes by streamlining reporting and analysis tools and procedures.

Core Responsibilities

·         Accurately manage pricing calculations by product for large complex deals 

·         Support the monthly financial close and forecasting processes by providing pricing information to finance team in such a way that is standard, simple, compliant, and timely

·         Provide pricing support including revenue by product analysis, first level support and research for all pricing questions during the close process, and the coordination of a quarterly auditing report (FMV)

·         Provide ad hoc deal analysis support as requested

·         Build and maintain pricing tools to support new pricing initiatives, globally

·         Support business decisions by tracking pricing trends and metrics, and delivering insights on pricing performance and actionable insights to the pricing leadership teams

·         Deliver analytical insight and ensure key pricing performance risk, issues, and opportunities are highlighted to management

·         Identify areas to improve the effectiveness of financial planning activities, including timelines, tools and methods

 

Requirements

·         3-5 years of pricing analysis experience focused on providing revenue and discount analysis support within a publicly traded company

·         Bachelors degree required

·         Familiarity of SOX pricing and revenue recognition rules and Fair Market Value (FMV) reporting requirements preferred

·         Working knowledge of commercial Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) and Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) systems

·         Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, including excellent analytical and financial modeling skills strongly preferred

·         Knowledge of programming language (SQL, Python, R) preferred

·         Strong analytical skills needed to synthesize large quantities of data, identify trends and drivers, and distill them into insightful analysis for senior management

·         Ability to deep-dive into financial data, reconcile variances and develop qualitative explanations to concisely summarize the results of financial analysis
