Global Pricing Analyst in San Diego, CA
The Global Pricing Analyst will support the implementation of global pricing strategies and revenue optimization to maximize product lifecycle and customer/segment profitability. S/he will also be responsible for supporting an enterprise-wide governance strategy and global pricing process to ensure that guidance and policy are followed and applied at the regional/country level with local support and ownership. This role will support the use of price monitoring tools and key pricing initiatives globally.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Analytics:
- Support the adoption of systems and tools used for pricing analytics.
- Develop and utilize detailed analytical models to identify pricing and margin improvements.
- Continuously improve existing pricing and profitability models.
- Perform pricing analytics on an as needed basis based on business needs.
Pricing Strategy:
- Implement pricing strategies and programs appropriate for new and current products and their respective markets in response to evolving market, competitive or internal conditions.
- Analyze and summarize actual product pricing trends in comparison with initial pricing projections.
- Support the use of value-based pricing methodologies.
- Interface with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Contracts, and Regional pricing counterparts to coordinate efforts toward the accomplishment of pricing objectives.
Governance:
- Develop, analyze, and report on key pricing metrics.
- Work across business units, regions, and functions to harmonize business pricing practices and process metrics while respecting the unique regional/country requirements.
- Support regular reviews of current pricing for products globally.
Preferred educational background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Marketing or Business Analytics
Preferred experiential background:
• Possess a continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience in developing and implementing pricing strategies, including pricing by customer segmentation.
• Ability to develop and interpret financial models to analyze and recommend pricing actions.
• Process management knowledge and experience.
• Pricing execution and monitoring/metrics knowledge.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams and different organizational levels to deliver results. Experience working within a complex virtual team environment and leading project activities.
• Highly developed time management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities with a high degree of initiative.
• Ability to resolve complex problems positively and professionally.
• Ability to plan, implement and monitor projects. Ability to proactively communicate project progress, issues and solutions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Experience in use and design of pricing / finance analytics platforms and tools.
• Experience in Health Care Sector, specifically Diagnostics preferred
